BOOK CLUB

Chair should make a contact list with names, telephone and emails for the members of the group.  Then prepare a schedule for the year of who is doing what - when - where.  At the end of year, ask members for their choice of books for the next year and choose the most popular for the following year (usually nine).  Generally the hosting rotates between members.  A light snack is provided.  If there are more members than can be accommodated in one group then the group should be separated into two or more if required. Each group can operate individually or as a whole with the others.  During each meeting, the hostess usually acts as chair and all members are asked their opinions of the book.  Each group meets once a month for discussion usually the third Tuesday and Thursday in the afternoon.  There may be a joint Christmas and end of year get together as determined by the chairs.  Due to the level of interest in our Book Club, three different groups have been formed.
